Tobacco Cessation Treatment

The goal of the tobacco treatment program is to help people quit using tobacco and stay quit using a proven evidence-based approach.

The Health Education and Wellness Department is offering tobacco cessation sessions in an effort to assist with quit attempts. The sessions will be scheduled for 30 minutes per week for 4 consecutive weeks. The sessions can be conducted either individually or in a group setting to encourage discussion and offer support. Some tobacco cessation medications can be provided through the Tobacco Quitline and professional guidance will be provided from our staff.

Mississippi’s Tobacco Quitline is designed to provide you with counseling and supporting information to help you quit smoking and stop chewing tobacco. For more information, contact 1-800-QUITNOW.
