Workshops, Therapeutic Groups, and Support Groups

Many students feel isolated and alone in regard to their challenges, experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Workshops, therapeutic groups, and support groups offer students a unique opportunity to meet others with similar concerns in a safe and supportive space. Students can share their problems and feel understood, supported, and encouraged by their peers. We offer a variety of workshops, therapeutic groups, and support groups, designed to reflect the interests and needs of the MSU student community. Past workshops and groups have focused on anxiety management, relationships, communication, depression, grief/loss, LGBTQ support, coping skills, support for African American women and men, sexual assault survivors, understanding self and others, and international student support. Contact Student Counseling Services to find out more about workshops and groups that are being offered currently.
